Egyptian researchers have reached a new compound to treat Corona: It is characterized by rapid access to the virus and its destruction during experiments
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Egypt announced that researchers in its Scientific Research City in Burj Al Arab have reached a treatment compound for the emerging corona virus, characterized by its ability to quickly access the virus and prevent its reproduction, and its destruction.
The spokesman for the ministry, Dr. Hussam Abdel Ghaffar, said that a research center in the city had conducted a clinical study on animals, and it was discovered that combining two types of drugs leads to an improvement in the drug’s access to the receptors in the virus, and thus its destruction, indicating that the study combined two types. Of the drugs available in the market and safe, with a third product that was discovered in the center, and this product acts as a carrier and as an adjunct to the medicine through which the Corona virus is targeted in order to accelerate its access to the virus cells, so that it has a stronger effect to prevent it from multiplying and spreading.
Dr. Abdel Ghaffar confirmed, in an intervention with the Egyptian Channel One, this morning, Saturday morning, that experiments conducted on animals have proven the effectiveness of this compound, by more than 95% in stopping the reproductive and destructive activity of the Corona virus, pointing out that the study will move to a third phase, which is testing experiments on Humans.
Regarding the price, he stated that the drugs on which this composition depends are available in the market at prices that do not exceed 20 Egyptian pounds, stressing that the new research depends on combining them into a single product, which will also be cheap, and will not exceed 20 pounds as well.
Regarding the most important thing that distinguishes this protocol from other treatments currently used in combating "Covid-19", Abdul Ghaffar mentioned that it is the ability of the new compound to quickly reach the virus and prevent its reproduction, in addition to the fact that the compound is useful and supportive of treatments for other diseases.
