He continued: “My son has been suffering from the disease since he was six years old, but the symptoms of the disease and its diagnosis appeared in 2017 in a hospital in Mauritania, and in the same year I brought my son to the country for treatment at Tawam Hospital in Al-Ain, as I admitted him to the hospital and was diagnosed before Doctors, and after medical examinations and analyzes it was found that he suffers from a rare genetic disease called (Hurler syndrome), and if he is not subjected to treatment, it will cause damage to most of his body's organs.

He continued: “My son suffers from the inability to walk normally, as he walks on his fingertips, and if he walks for a short period of time, he suffers from pain in the back, as he suffers from protrusion in some of the vertebrae in the spine, and needs surgery in the back, and the doctors confirmed that my son needs To replace the lost enzyme periodically every week for life, and the health insurance card covers 70% of the treatment, and the rest of the estimated 30% we must pay it, as it amounts to 7000 dirhams per week, and this is an amount above my modest financial capabilities.

He pointed out that «the disease caused him problems in the eyes and joints due to the accumulation of the enzyme, noting that my son has not been subjected to treatment for a long time and currently his condition has greatly worsened, noting that doctors have assured us that if he does not undergo treatment, the liver, spleen and other organs will enlarge. He suffered a distortion in the joints before some time as a result of not taking treatment.
