A fish that catches its fisherman and ends his life

A 56-year-old fisherman died in Australia after he was hit by a fish and was fastened to a boat he was on board, according to what local police announced today.

"The man was fishing with members of his family and friends in Darwin Harbor when a huge fish struck him at chest level," the Australian Northern Territory Police said.

The group returned to the beach, where paramedics tried to revive him.

"Unfortunately, the man passed away. This appears to be an unfortunate accident that caused a great shock to the people who were on board the boat and the man's family and friends," the police added.

It was not immediately clear what kind of fish.

In a similar incident that occurred in a nearby area in 2018, a woman who was fishing escaped after a mackerel fish injured her deeply in the neck.
