The time for traffic jams has come (again)! Up to 700 km of cumulative slowdowns were noted this Saturday on the main roads at the height of traffic, the day being classified "orange" by Bison Futé nationally for the 7th weekend of the holidays.

This peak of slowdowns was reached around 12:15 p.m.

Red and orange after a previous "black" weekend

"The main traffic difficulties are in the north-western quarter of the country (A13, A11, N165) and in the southern half (A7, A9, A75, A10, A61)", indicated the road information organization in a press release. More precisely, the day of Saturday is classified "red" in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region in the direction of departures, as well as on the Mediterranean arc, in the direction of departures as well as returns.

Last week, traffic reached a record level on overheated roads in a heatwave, during a Saturday classified "black" in the direction of departures. Bison Futé had even recorded a peak of 820 kilometers of traffic jams at midday.
