A young man in his twenties died due to "Covid-19"; This makes him the youngest victim of the pandemic in Australia, it was announced Friday.

Victoria State Chief Minister Daniel Andrews told reporters in Melbourne that the young man was one of 14 people who died in Victoria during the night.

The count of new deaths brings the number of deaths due to the Corona virus in Victoria to 289 cases, and throughout Australia to 375 cases.
Officials did not specify the exact age of the young man.

And strict restrictions have been imposed on residents of the state capital, Melbourne, and they are not allowed to leave homes except for sports, shopping and basic work, while a curfew is imposed from eight in the evening until five in the morning and wearing a muzzle is mandatory.

The city, with a population of 4.9 million, recorded a total of 15,863 cases of the virus, and 659 people are still infected in hospitals and 41 are in intensive care.
