The Vendée prefecture has issued an order authorizing the Puy du Fou to accommodate up to 9,000 people for its night show, the Cinéscénie, on Saturday August 15, we learned this Friday from the theme park. This authorization is "valid for August 15 for the moment, it only concerns the Cinéscénie", declared Sabine Tommy-Martin, in charge of communication and marketing of the park.

Three separate stands will accommodate 3,000 people each. Wearing a mask will be compulsory and hydroalcoholic gel will be made available. The Puy du Fou, located in Les Epesses (Vendée), created controversy last July by obtaining a dispensation allowing it to accommodate 12,000 people for the same show, divided into three stands of 4,000 spectators, separated by plexiglass walls. The park was passed under the bar of 5,000 spectators welcomed, following the broadcast of a report by France Television on the subject, on July 25.

Officially, the ban on gatherings of more than 5,000 people, initially in force until August 30, was extended on Tuesday until October 30 due to the Covid-19 epidemic. Le Puy du Fou, which welcomed more than 2.3 million people in 2019, reopened its doors on June 11.
