[Explanation] Recently, the Guigang police in Guangxi uncovered a huge illegal production and sale of counterfeit and shoddy products involving 12 provinces and municipalities across the country, involving a total of 400 million yuan.
[Explanation] In April 2020, the Public Security Bureau of Guigang City, Guangxi received a call from the public stating that someone in Guanqiao Village, Mengxu Town, Guiping City was illegally producing counterfeit world-renowned brands. After Guiping Public Security Bureau received the Guigang Public Security Bureau’s notice of the investigation of the clues of the case, it immediately carried out the preliminary investigation work. After preliminary investigations, it was discovered that Li Moufa and others built fake dens in Mengxu Town to produce a large number of world-famous-brand business packages, which were sold overseas and across the country, with a huge amount of money involved. After more than three months of in-depth management and comprehensive research and judgment, the task force has found out a one-stop production, supply, and sales counterfeit sales group, and mastered the counterfeit production dens, organizational structure, production and sales chain and main members of the group Foothold.
[Explanation] On July 23, the Guiping City Public Security Bureau dispatched more than 200 police forces to launch an operation to close the network to the counterfeiting dens and the main gang members. In the process of collecting the network, the main criminal suspect Li Moufa and 13 other persons involved were successfully arrested, and they destroyed 2 fake production dens, 2 storage dens and 10 production lines in Guanqiao Village, Mengxu Town, Guiping City in one fell swoop; Seized more than 1,000 fake finished products, more than 3,000 semi-finished products, and a batch of other trademarks, production tools, and raw materials.
[Explanation] It is understood that starting from 2017, Li Moufa, together with his wife Hong Mouzhong and his brother-in-law Hong Mou, illegally established the "Guiping Baolin Handbag Processing Factory" in Guanqiao Village, Mengxu Town, Guiping City. Unregistered), and then organized more than 30 workers to illegally produce and process counterfeit business packages through the raw materials provided by Shi Moujin (a fugitive) from Fujian. Subsequently, the completed business packages were exported overseas by Shi Moujin in the form of containers, and were also sold to 12 provinces (cities, districts) across the country including Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Fujian, and Beijing. Appraisal by the relevant enterprises, the retail price of the authentic goods involved in the case was an average of 10,000 yuan each.
[Explanation] At present, the criminal suspects Li Moufa, Hong Mouzhong, and Hong Mou have been detained for criminal purposes, and the case is under further investigation.
