Capture New York Daily News - Capture Twitter

All means seem good to save money in the press! Tribune Publishing, the company that owns the famous Daily News tabloid , has announced that it is closing its offices in lower Manhattan.

These offices, located at 4 New York Plaza, are famous for having inspired the premises of the Daily Planet, the newspaper where Clark Kent and Lois Clark work in the Superman comics .

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, journalists have been forced to telecommute. As this arrangement did not hinder the smooth running of the newspaper, Tribune Publishing believes that they do not necessarily need physical offices.
