Good news for cinema exhibitors! French cinemas have returned to above the one million spectators per week mark, with the comedy Les Blagues de Toto making its debut at the top of the box office, according to CBO box office figures released on Wednesday.
Cinemas have struggled since their reopening on June 22, with three times fewer spectators than the average before the health crisis. Even if it progresses during this week of August 5 to 11, attendance (1,083,245 admissions) remains down nearly 75% compared to the same period of 2019.
