The exhibition is under construction and will be available early next year at the earliest.
In December 2009, the State Administration of Cultural Heritage of China identified the tomb of Cao Cao in the south of Xigaoxue Village, Anfeng Township, Anyang City. After that, Cao Cao's Gaoling was named "2009 National Top Ten New Archaeological Discoveries". In 2013, it became the seventh batch of national key cultural relics protection units.
Recently, it has been reported that the cultural relics of Cao Cao's tomb in Anyang, Henan will be fully unveiled for the first time. In this regard, the staff of the Office of the Anyang Municipal Bureau of Cultural Relics confirmed on the 13th that since the official start of the Cao Cao Gaoling Ontology Protection and Exhibition Project in September 2017, it is still in the state of protection planning and construction, and the cultural relics exhibition period has not been determined.
Pan Weibin, the leader of Cao Cao’s Gaoling archaeological team, also confirmed on the 13th that he is now responsible for the exhibition of Cao Cao’s Gaoling cultural relics. The specific exhibition period will be determined according to the completion of the project. The specific number of cultural relics on display will be comprehensively considered according to the exhibition hall.
“The cultural relics excavated from the tomb of Cao Cao are very rich, and some of the unearthed cultural relics have been exhibited in Beijing this year.” Pan Weibin said, “It is certain that this cultural relics exhibition is different from other exhibitions and will mainly highlight the display effect. The outside shows the important discoveries of Cao Cao’s Gaoling archaeological excavation, the culture of the Three Kingdoms and the history of Han and Wei.
Anyang Cao Cao Gaoling Management Committee Office Director Zheng Hushan said in an interview with a reporter from China News Agency that the Anyang Gaoling body protection and display project covers an area of more than 490 acres. The project is divided into three areas, namely, the cultural relics exhibition area in area A and the site in area B. The exhibition hall and the energy center of Zone C will create a Three Kingdoms Cultural Heritage Park integrating historical display and cultural tourism in the future.
"The main part of the Anyang Gaoling Ontology Protection and Exhibition Project is expected to be completed by the end of this year." Zheng Hushan said, among them, the cultural relics exhibition in the cultural relics exhibition area project in Area A has entered the construction stage, and the construction is expected to be completed early next year.
Talking about the exhibition of Cao Cao’s Gaoling cultural relics, Zheng Hushan said that the exhibition of cultural relics will take time, and there will be project acceptance in the later stage, constant temperature and humidity system debugging, security system and other related work will be arranged after the requirements are met.
