A little more freshness. This Thursday, the weather remains unstable with thunderstorms but temperatures are dropping, according to Météo-France forecasts. The red heatwave alert was lifted on Wednesday, but 21 departments remain on orange alert over much of the northeastern part of the country. Sixty departments are also on vigilance yellow thunderstorms.

Thunderstorms in New Aquitaine in the morning, then spread over the northern half of the country

We must therefore expect the passage of many thunderstorms on Thursday. Thunderstorms will extend during the morning from New Aquitaine to Pays de la Loire, the Center region and Limousin.

The showers may be locally strong in cumulative rainfall. From the start of the afternoon, the entire northern half of the country will be affected. Further south during the afternoon, calmer and drier weather will set in from Aquitaine around the Mediterranean, with cloudy skies over the sores in the southwest, and more generous sun on the Côte d 'Azure. Minimum temperatures will be between 16 and 21 degrees, 20 to 24 degrees on the Mediterranean coast. The maximums will be falling across the country. We expect between 22 and 28 degrees on the western half, 26 to 33 degrees on the east.
