The "Without Borders" program (4/29/2020) hosted the Secretary of the Expediency Council in Iran, Mohsen Rezaei, to discuss the challenges that Iran faced and its strategy to deal with the crisis in light of the economic blockade imposed by America and the future of Iranian-American relations.

Regarding the nature of the accident that took place in the Gulf Sea between American ships and Iranian boats, Rezaei said that when changing the American naval commanders in the Gulf region, the new leaders do not adhere to the correct methods due to the complexities of the region. Therefore, some boats are arrested and released after a few days.

War scenarios
He explained that Iran is not looking for war and military confrontation, expecting a scenario that America will withdraw from the region in the next decade, citing the reduction of Washington’s forces in Afghanistan, Syria and Iraq.

As for the second scenario, which Rezaei expects, it is that America will make a mistake and confront Iran, stressing that Tehran will respond to any military confrontation that brings about a complete failure of the American administration.

He stressed that Tehran has no intention at the beginning of any Iranian-American war in the Gulf waters, but this does not mean that its security is not defended, stressing that if America makes any wrong move, Iran will use all its weapons, as well as the weapons that Iran has not shown so far, to be the beginning. The war is in the hands of America and its end is in the hands of Iran.

Rezaei also did not rule out a military adventure in the next four months in the Gulf waters, but Trump wants to take a face-saving adventure, likening it to a play to show his muscles to prove his ability to confront Iran and employ the matter in his election campaign.
