The luxury sleeper trains of JR East and JR Kyushu, which are called "Cruise Trains", will be reopened on the 15th.

Among them, JR East's "Transuit Shikishima" was a luxury sleeper train around Kanto Koshin and Tohoku, and was suspended from this spring due to the influence of the new coronavirus.

On the day before the reopening, crew members were carefully disinfecting each guest room, including the observation cars and the lounge's finest Japanese-style rooms.

In addition, alcohol disinfectant that is automatically sprayed when you put your hand over it is installed in the common area inside the car, and you can take measures such as placing a tether between the table next to you when eating.

On the tour starting on the 15th, tours of Koshu wine wineries in Yamanashi Prefecture and experience of painting lacquerware in Aizu-Wakamatsu, Fukushima Prefecture will be held. It means that a new tourist guide will be held in cooperation with the local government.

Mr. Shigeru Shigeshima, train manager of Transuite Shikishima, said, "I would like to take thorough measures to prevent infection so that I can enjoy my trip with peace of mind and resume operation."

The JR Kyushu luxury sleeper train "Nanatsuboshi" will resume operation from the 15th.
