Xiong Zhicheng, the murderer of the "Zhejiang University Girl Murder Case," was executed, and his family will sue the scenic area involved

  Beijing News (Reporter Chang Zhuojin) On August 13, a reporter from the Beijing News learned from Mr. Tan, the victim’s family member, that the defendant Xiong Zhicheng of the "Zhejiang University Girl Victim Case" was executed on July 28. On November 13, 2018, Tan Moumou, an undergraduate from Zhejiang University who returned from studying in the UK, was killed in the Feilaifeng Scenic Area in Hangzhou.

  The Beijing News previously reported that the Hangzhou Intermediate People's Court found that before the case, the defendant Xiong Zhicheng participated in online gambling and owed a large amount of debts. He was in a world-weary mood because of his inability to repay. In early November 2018, Xiong Zhicheng went to the Feilai Peak scenic spot in Hangzhou for several days in a row, intending to kill others before committing suicide. On the 13th of the same month, Xiong Zhicheng entered the Feilai Peak scenic spot and met the victim Tan Moumou near the top of the Lotus Peak and killed him.

  On July 26, 2019, the Hangzhou Intermediate People's Court sentenced the defendant Xiong Zhicheng to death and deprived him of political rights for life for the crimes of intentional homicide and compulsory indecency. On November 11 of the same year, the Zhejiang Higher People's Court upheld the original sentence of death penalty in the second instance.

  On August 13 this year, the victim’s father, Mr. Tan, told the Beijing News that the murderer Xiong Zhicheng had been executed on July 28. Mr. Tan said that in the next step he will sue the scenic area involved, "I can give up compensation, but ask Feilaifeng Scenic Area to publicly apologize to me and rectify related management defects. If the scenic area has no management defects, the murderer will not choose to start here. ."
