According to the official Weibo news of the Press Office of the People’s Government of the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region Health Commission reported on August 12 from 0:00 to 24:00, Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region (including Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps) Reported 8 new confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia, 5 new asymptomatic infections, all in Urumqi; 38 newly cured and discharged confirmed cases (37 in Urumqi, 1 imported from Urumqi in Changji); asymptomatic infection 6 cases were released from medical observation, all in Urumqi; 1 case was severely ill and converted to normal type.
As of 24:00 on August 12, Xinjiang (including the Corps) currently has 505 confirmed cases (14 critically ill and 24 severely ill), including 503 in Urumqi, 1 in Kashgar (an epidemic-related case in Urumqi), and 1 in Bingtuan. There are 130 cases of asymptomatic infections, including 129 in Urumqi and 1 in Changji Prefecture (imported from Urumqi); 13,548 people are still under medical observation.
From 0:00 on July 15 to 24:00 on August 12, a total of 302 confirmed cases were cured and discharged, and 95 cases of asymptomatic infection were released from medical observation.
