Katherine Pancol was invited to the microphone of Europe 1, Wednesday morning, to talk about her future graphic novel, "Eugène et moi". The book, which will be published in November, tells of an incredible trip to Mexico.

INTERVIEW

Katherine Pancol, successful novelist who publishes "Eugène et moi" in November, has experienced a special spring. She first thought to take advantage of the confinement caused by the coronavirus to read a book. "I was not gone to work, but rather with a huge basket of books to read," said the author, Wednesday morning, at the microphone of Europe 1. She had also published Bed Bug five months earlier .

All of a sudden, her program was turned upside down: "One evening, a message from a very good friend (nicknamed Eugène, editor's note) arrived on my Instagram thread, but whom I don't see very often because she has the moves. She travels all the time, "she continues.

Adapted writing

Katerine Pancol, who usually writes novels, had to adapt her writing. "When you write a novel, you go much deeper into the psychology of the characters. There, you have to give clues and things have to go quickly", sums up the novelist, not unhappy to have transformed this confinement into a creative period.
