  The rain looks very heavy, but @weatherBeijing said, this is not the "main force"...

  The Beijing Meteorological Observatory issued a yellow warning signal for mine-laying electricity at 11:25 on the 12th; a blue flood warning was issued at 11:00, and there may be obvious flooding in many rivers; as of the morning of the 12th, 149 flights in Beijing were cancelled and 105 buses were suspended.

  But just in the morning of the 12th, Beijing's "style of painting" was not like this...

  The rain in Beijing has stoked my appetite

  On the 11th, the Beijing Meteorological Observatory stated that there will be a regional heavy rainfall process in the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region on the 12th, which is the strongest rainfall process since the flood season this year.

  After that, many scenic spots and parks in Beijing were temporarily closed, and the Beijing Flood Control Headquarters issued a reminder that all units should implement flexible work systems and work from home...

  So, starting early in the morning on the 12th, the whole Beijing was waiting for a rain, but the sun did not arrive.

  @恩外西: Our company is all working from home, wouldn’t it be embarrassing if it doesn’t rain

  @Vicky hasn't gotten thin: even if the atmosphere is over

  @维纳斯的袖边: You better have rain, I wear slippers to work, if not, I will bring slippers to find you

  According to the Beijing Youth Daily, it was previously expected that from the evening to the night of the 12th, the rainfall would enter the core period, and the entire Beijing might be covered, especially between 18:00 and 22:00. According to the Central Meteorological Observatory, extreme heavy rainfall may occur in the southwest and northeast of Beijing, central Hebei and northeast.

The rain in Beijing is special

  The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a yellow rainstorm warning at 06:00 on August 12. The "Meteorology Beijing" Weibo reminds that the heavy rainfall period is from noon to night, and rainfall has a greater impact on the evening peak.

  The weather during this rainfall has three characteristics:

  One is the long duration. The main rainfall period of this time was from noon to night on the 12th, and the rain gradually weakened and ended on the morning of the 13th;

  The second is heavy rainfall. It is estimated that the average rainfall in the city is 40 to 80 mm, and the urban area is about 50 mm. The western and northern mountainous areas may reach more than 200 mm in local areas. The maximum hourly rain intensity can reach 80 to 100 mm. Lightning and local short-term strong winds;

  The third is the wide range of impact. This process is a regional rainstorm in Beijing, Tianjin and Hebei.

How to protect yourself from the rainstorm?

  Continuous heavy rainfall may induce secondary disasters such as mountain torrents, landslides, mudslides, urban waterlogging, etc. How to protect yourself is particularly important!
