Do you like heels and comfort? You will love the Bettina Vermillon shoes. Lorraine Archambeaud, the founder and artistic director of Bettina Vermillon uses an industrial technique to dissociate the heel from the shoe.

This active Parisian who lives between Brussels and Paris did not want to create another shoe label, but to innovate in order to give movement to women on their shoes every day. To achieve this goal: the aluminum heel. A heel that is not molded, but sculpted.

If you buy a pair of sneakers, for example, you buy it for yourself. If you buy a pair of heels, you buy it for the other,  ”says Lorraine Archambeaud, founder and artistic director of the Bettina Vermillon brand .

Trained in decorative arts in Paris, in furniture design and after having worked for several houses, this elegant Parisian designer launched her brand in 2012. She created her own medium of expression: shoes.

Bettina Vermillon, the history of the brand ...

I needed a name that was phonetically French signed. Vermilion, I realized that it obviously evokes a lot of femininity. At least we say it in all languages. I wanted a first name that was, on the other hand, very international. And I looked for a first name which, in the personality, shows a woman who already knows who she is, who accepts her flaws, who laughs a lot at herself, who loves the ephemeral side of the brand, who finds that really nice. And so, I combined the two a bit  , ”says Lorraine Archambeaud.

" The attitudes of the foot reflect a certain emotion "

A furniture designer by training, Lorraine Archambeaud takes a BTS to learn how to make shoes. She therefore designs her models of shoes for women keeping in mind that it is essential to be worn by his heels and not to support them, the shoe being above all an accessory of life.

It's an accessory in which we put a part of our body. A woman who runs, who finds her man does not have the same attitude of foot as a woman who talks on the phone in the street, as a woman who is window shopping with a friend. In fact, the attitudes of the foot reflect a certain emotion,  ”says the designer.

Partners " out of their fields of action "

From the moment the project takes shape, it is imperative for Lorraine Archambeaud to innovate and find partners for Bettina Vermillon: “  These are people who have gone out of their fields of action to actually lean on the heel. . My bead machine is French. He's someone who makes Formula 1 parts, which has nothing to do with the women's heel. And the challenge of designing in 3D and optimizing the machining of these different heels, that interested him.  "

And, in Italy, my shoe manufacturer is the same story. Approaching the shoe by the heel that seemed interesting to him because, obviously, the shoes today are ... We have what we call the tail of the sole, so this famous Louis XV mounting sole which is, in fact, the sole which descends along the heel and which blocks it on the pair of shoes. Me, I wanted precisely to dissociate the two to produce better, to produce in a more conscientious way  ”,adds the sparkling designer.

Transmission is a matter of heel

With Bettina Vermillon, everyone has their heel, their height, their color, but that's not all: “ Passing on a pair of heels first on a pair of pumps, finally on a pair of sandals in summer, it's still transmission  ”, explains Lorraine Archambeaud.

The other thing, too, is that you could envision passing it on to your daughter your pair of heels, who she'll put it on another pair of shoes. We can give it a makeover, by putting another heel design, something perhaps more contemporary. How do we play with our pair of shoes so that they follow us more and more?  "
