Due to the long duration of the heavy rainfall and the large accumulated rainfall, the heavy rainfall area overlaps with the previous heavy rainfall area, which can easily cause flood disasters again and the flood control situation is severe.

"It is expected that there will be moderate rainfall in Xi'an City on August 12. Among them, there will be heavy to heavy rains in the west and north. The second precipitation will appear from August 14 to 16, characterized by longer duration of precipitation, The intensity is stronger, and 80 mm to 100 mm of precipitation may appear locally." Yang Xiaochun said.

The Shaanxi Meteorological Service Center stated that due to the long duration of the precipitation process and heavy rainfall from August 3 to 8, geological disasters such as landslides and collapses have occurred in some parts of Shaanxi. In the recent new wave of precipitation, the western part of Guanzhong and the western part of southern Shaanxi have received heavy precipitation. It is necessary to pay attention to the superimposed effect of rainfall and prevent the impact of mountain torrent geological disasters on mountain tourism safety. (Finish)
