China detects coronavirus in imported frozen seafood

Corona virus was detected in samples of three imported frozen seafood products in the city of Yantai, north of Shandong Province in China, the city government said in its official account on the Weibo platform today, Tuesday.

And the Bloomberg News Agency stated that three different companies imported seafood on the same ship through the port of Dalian, which recently witnessed a significant increase in the number of cases of Coronavirus.

The city government post did not mention the source of the imported seafood or the number of people who handled the shipment.

Most of the seafood was kept in cold storage and did not enter the market, except for a small quantity that went out for processing and export in Yantai, according to the circular.

Anyone who was in close contact with this shipment of seafood has been placed under quarantine.
