The investigation report determined that the direct cause of the accident was: the nurse on duty in the Dianji Town Central Hospital used fire carelessly, lit the mosquito coil, and caught the mosquito coil ash in a cardboard box containing combustible materials. After the person left, the mosquito coil ignited the surrounding combustible materials and caused a fire. Nine personnel from the government, departments (units) and others related to the accident were given corresponding party disciplinary and administrative sanctions and organizational treatment; the Dianji Town Central Health Center, the unit responsible for the accident, was given corresponding administrative penalties; the Dianji Town Police Station was instructed to report to the Guoyang County Public Security Bureau The bureau made an in-depth written inspection; instructed the People's Government of Dianji Town and the Guoyang County Health Commission to make an in-depth written inspection to the Guoyang County People's Government; instructed the Guoyang County People's Government to make an in-depth written inspection to the Bozhou City People's Government.
