A policeman evokes a real "outburst of violence" on the animal. A man in his thirties was arrested on Sunday when he violently beat his dog in the street, in the district of La Rose in Marseille (13th), according to the daily La Provence .

The individual allegedly kicked, punched, and even attempted to strangle his six-year-old German Shepherd. It was a nurse's aide who was on her way to work who alerted the police.

The man was taken into custody for “abuse and acts of cruelty”. He was referred Monday to the Marseille prosecutor's office and placed under judicial supervision with a ban on keeping an animal, the daily said. The animal was taken care of by the SPA.
