Emergency aid collected on Sunday during a video conference co-organized by France and the UN for Lebanon after the explosion that devastated Beirut amounts to just over 252.7 million euros. Of this amount, France will make a contribution to the tune of 30 million euros, the French presidency said. Violent demonstrations also continue to shake the Lebanese capital. Violent clashes erupt in Minsk after Lukashenko's victory

Officially, Alexander Lukashenko won Sunday's presidential election in Belarus with nearly 80% of the vote. But supporters of her rival, Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, see the vote as rigged. They therefore took to the streets of Minsk, but also in several provincial towns to make it known. Violent clashes erupted between the police and the demonstrators. The security forces dispersed the crowd with stun grenades and questioning. In a country held with an iron fist, the outgoing president had warned on the day of the vote that he would not accept "loss of control" or "chaos".
