At about 21:00 on the evening of August 8, the Hongsha police station received a call from the masses that an injured dolphin was found in the shallow water area of Dadonghai Scenic Area, Sanya. Please send the police for help. On the one hand, the on-site police contacted the Sanya Fisheries Administration and the staff of the Sanya Marine Animal Rescue Station by telephone, and on the other hand organized police forces to isolate and protect the area near the stranded dolphins. After inspection by on-site staff, it was found that the injured dolphin was a middle-aged female dolphin, belonging to a bottlenose dolphin. It was about ten years old, about two meters long, weighing about 250 kilograms, and had three wounds on the body. The epidermis was infected and accompanied She has symptoms of dehydration, and her injury is very serious and requires immediate treatment. The staff at the rescue station immediately dealt with the dolphin's injury and gave the dolphin a liquid medicine. During this period, everyone turned the dolphins to the back-up position, carefully cleaned up the blockages in the dolphin's intestines, and poured water every 2 minutes to keep the dolphins moist and avoid dryness and dehydration of the skin. Under the guidance of the staff, the police also bought fresh fish for the dolphins and fed them by experts. At about 1 am the next morning, with the concerted assistance of multiple departments, the injured dolphin was transferred to a rescue station for professional treatment and further observation.
