How to pay tribute to Professor Ogobara Dumbo? Exceptional researcher, world figure in the fight against malaria, Professor Ogobara Doumbo died suddenly on June 9, 2018.

Publicity

This bush child, as he liked to recall, one of the only internationally recognized African researchers in biomedicine, was a pioneer and a visionary: “  If we really want to fight malaria, we have to come back to the villages. ", he said. What he did by founding with the entomologist Yeya touré in Mali the MRTC, a research and training center on malaria, a platform of excellence in network with sentinel villages which has spread across the continent thus proving that cutting-edge health research was possible in Africa. Ogo, as he was called, is the one who made the fight against malaria a question of ethics and international solidarity. The Academy of Sciences in Paris, through its committee for developing countries, decided to pay tribute to him on April 11, 2019, around a conference bringing together excellent researchers who are continuing his work on the continent.
