  At about 15:30 on August 9, Sugacha, Huhedian, Shilamuren Town, Damao Banner, was hit by a tornado. According to preliminary statistics, the disaster caused 5 households of herdsmen in Sugacha, Hohhot, and the Swan Lake tourist reception site was more seriously affected. 33 tourists, scenic attendants, and staff were injured to varying degrees, and more than 100 yurts were dumped or damaged.

  After the disaster, local working groups such as on-site search and rescue teams, medical rescue teams, and aftercare teams were established urgently, and the public security, fire protection, armed police, health and other departments were immediately organized to rush to the scene to carry out emergency rescue.

  It is reported that all the injured have been sent to hospitals for treatment, including 24 in Wuchuan County Hospital, 9 in Damaoqi Hospital, and 3 severely injured people have been transferred from Wuchuan County Hospital to the Affiliated Hospital of Inner Mongolia Medical University. The vital signs are currently stable.
