[You look so beautiful with a smile] Sichuan Liangshan poverty alleviation cadre: Just do it when you come
Since 2015, tens of thousands of poverty alleviation cadres have rushed to Liangshan, Sichuan to take root in the frontline of poverty alleviation in deeply impoverished areas, and work together with local cadres and people to fight for poverty alleviation in Liangshan in the fields of industrial development, infrastructure, education, and medical care. Huge efforts have been made to exchange the "hardship index" of blood and sweat in exchange for the "happiness index" of the poor.
Li Zhimin, the first secretary of the rehabilitation village of Zhiermo Township, Zhaojue County, came to the rehabilitation village in August 2015. Kangfu Village is located in a remote area with high altitude and low temperature. Except for potatoes and corn, which are of low economic value, many crops cannot be grown. Li Zhimin persuaded the young people in the village to go out to work. In the beginning, many young people were afraid and unwilling to go out to work due to factors such as not being able to speak Mandarin and having never traveled far. After Li Zhimin's repeated persuasion, young people in the village gradually walked out of the mountains. In 5 years, 80 families in the village moved to Xichang, Puge and other places to start a new life. In 2017, Li Zhimin's poverty alleviation work could have come to an end, but he voluntarily applied to stay in the rehabilitation village. "Everything comes, just do it to the end."
Yang Hong, the first secretary of Yunpanshan Village, Qiaowo Town, Puge County, has been involved in poverty alleviation for 5 years. Yunpanshan Village has a large population. 92% of the people come from 14 counties and cities in Liangshan Prefecture. There are 518 poor households with 2628 people in the village. When visiting villagers’ homes, Yang Hong always carries a notebook with him. The densely recorded problems in the notebook are the basis for Yang Hong to carry out his work. At work, Yang Hong stays on the phone and can receive up to 700 or 800 calls a day. In 2019, 495 households in Yunpanshan Village were lifted out of poverty. In 2020, Yang Hong is confident to lift the remaining 23 poor households out of poverty.
Heguluo Township, Meigu County, Liangshan Prefecture has a registered population of more than 5,000 people, with a large area and sparse population. In the view of Lin Huawei, deputy secretary of the full-time party committee for poverty alleviation in Heguluo Township, poverty alleviation is not about repairing houses and roads, but about developing industries to alleviate poverty, so that local people can completely get rid of poverty. Today, 8 villages in Heguluo Township each have their own industries, and 4 villages have already been lifted out of poverty. In 2020, all 8 villages will be lifted out of poverty.
