On August 8, Fang Yong, deputy director of the Urumqi Transportation Bureau, said at the Xinjiang epidemic prevention and control press conference: “To meet the travel needs of passengers at high-speed rail stations and airports during the epidemic, we will organize some taxis by purchasing services from the government. Carry out transportation service guarantee work, and freely transport people leaving Ukraine to the railway station and airport."

Fang Yong said that in order to create a safe and secure riding environment, the Urumqi Transportation Bureau has mainly adopted the following measures.

One is the centralized management of taxi drivers. The body temperature is measured once a day in the morning, noon and in the evening. Actively obey the management of the community where they are located, arrange for taxi driver volunteers to carry out disinfection work on the accommodation, participate in the nucleic acid test arranged by the community, and strictly prevent the driver from working with illness.

The second is to strengthen the elimination of taxis.

The third is to strengthen the protection of drivers and passengers. Taxi drivers must wear masks and protective gloves throughout the operation process. If conditions permit, they can also wear protective clothing; check whether there is a nucleic acid test report (negative) within 7 days and a certificate of leaving Uzbekistan for people leaving Uzbekistan before getting on the bus. Passenger information is registered, and passengers are strictly required to wear masks throughout the journey.

The fourth is to strengthen inspection and supervision.
