Good news at last ? According to an investigation published by the Journal du Dimanche  on August 9, several supermarket signs are expected to lower the prices of protective masks against the coronavirus within a few weeks. Why ? Quite simply because this time, the big brands would have bet everything on anticipation.

By preparing for a potential second wave of coronavirus at the start of the school year, brands have quietly replenished their stocks and are no longer in the emergency situation they may have experienced at the time of deconfinement, forced to pay more in order to 'be delivered as soon as possible. This new anticipation of what could take place in the fall allows them to save money and why not, to lower prices for consumers, according to the JDD .

"Masks will become a leading product in the same way as Coca-Cola or Nutella, all the brands are preparing to make commercial offers for the start of the school year", indicates Thierry Cotillard, president of the Intermarché and Netto brands to the JDD . Also according to the Sunday weekly, the prices in question could be halved.
