Covid-19 is influencing the tourist season in Greece

Developed gradually from the 1960s and 1970s, tourism is today one of the pillars of the Greek economy. Last year, the country received nearly 34 million visitors, three times the number of the country's population. And nearly one in five jobs today is linked, directly or indirectly, to this tourism sector. On the islands where the summer season often represents the bulk of annual income, the sector is in difficulty due to the slowdown caused by the coronavirus. In Greece, Joël Bronner visited the islands of Paros and Kefalonia.
