Researchers from Charles University, Svanda Theater and the Academy of Acting Arts in the Czech Republic are working on an interesting project, related to the merging of artificial intelligence techniques on the one hand, and theater art on the other hand.

The main goal of the project is to employ artificial intelligence techniques to compose an innovative theatrical performance. The first performance of this play is expected to be unveiled in January, according to the TechExplor website, which specializes in technology.

Before launching the project, the research team reviewed previous studies dealing with the possibility of employing artificial intelligence in creating poetry or music, as well as in the field of drawing and other forms of art. Although there is a lot of research dealing with this field, they found that theater art is a very complex process that has rarely been combined with artificial intelligence techniques before. One of the researchers involved in the project, Rudolf Rossa, said that the desired goal is to compose a theatrical script that can be presented by a professional theater company. He pointed out the necessity of completing the composition process by next September, so that there is sufficient time to perform rehearsals and make various theater preparations to present the work.

He added that although the study team aims to develop a computer system for composing theatrical scripts, "but we need one script at the present time."

The study team uses a programming language called "GBT2", and has fed it into a large number of literary texts in the English language through the Internet. This language can complete missing texts, develop various literary ideas, and even write paragraphs of news articles based on only one paragraph on the same topic.

The study aims to develop a computer system for writing texts.
