According to the official Weibo news of the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission, at 0-24 o'clock on August 8, 5 newly imported confirmed cases and 8 imported asymptomatic infections were added to Guangdong Province. The confirmed cases are 3 from the Philippines, 1 from the United States and 1 from Saudi Arabia; 3 asymptomatic infections from Saudi Arabia, 2 from Bangladesh and India, and 1 from the Philippines. As of 24:00 on August 8, a total of 1,693 confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia (298 imported from abroad) have been reported in Guangdong. There are currently 16 cases in hospital.
