The Union of Doctors in Germany (Marburger Bond) criticized the compulsory wearing of the muzzle in the classroom, as decided by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia, and the union considered this procedure illogical.

In statements to the German newspaper, "Neue Osnabrucker Zeitung" published today, Saturday, Suzanne Yona, President of the Federation at the federal level, said: "If everyone sits on their seats while taking the spacing, there will be no logic for compulsory wearing of the muzzle, but rather it will become an unnecessary handicap."

She added, "The logical thing is to wear the muzzle when there is intense closeness, for example when leaving the classroom, when standing in front of the school canteen, or when being in the yard during a break in the event that several classes participate at the same time."

It is noteworthy that several German states have announced the imposition of wearing a muzzle in their schools, and North Rhine-Westphalia is the only state so far that intends to impose this measure temporarily, at least, in its secondary and industrial schools, which sparked widespread controversy in Germany.
