In a summer in which the concert schedule has become elusive and the fate of tourism a national drama, the Musical Caprices of the National Paradores are a double exception. The series of concerts that the state company has been programming for years as a cultural and gastronomic incentive for inland tourism includes a concert by Diego El Cigala, at the Parador de Sigüenza (Guadalajara) tonight.

The cantaor, from Madrid, winner of four Latin Grammys and a citizen of the Dominican Republic, spends the summer in Spain presenting his latest album, Cigala canta a México, his personal appropriation of the popular Mexican tradition. We are boyfriends, Perfidia, Bésame mucho or If you tell me they see are some of the songs included in the new repertoire of Cigala.

This year, the Caprichos Musicales cycle includes nine appointments with artists such as the singer Estrella Morente, the violinist Ara Malikian, the singers José Mercé, Miguel Poveda and María Arnal i Marcel Bagés and Iván Ferreiro in the Paradores of Cardona, Santo Estevo, Costa da Morte, Mazagón, Málaga Golf and Gredos. Each concert in the cycle offers an offer (for sale at El Corte Inglés) that includes a private concert with very limited capacity at sunset, dinner with a menu designed for the occasion and one night's accommodation with breakfast included at the Parador.
