The government is back pedaling. The holding of cultural gatherings (shows, festivals, concerts etc.) of more than 5,000 people from September will be conditioned to the evolution of the health situation, the Ministry of Culture said Thursday, after a more optimistic announcement made on Tuesday. .

"The rule prohibiting gatherings of more than 5,000 people, unless authorized by the prefect, will be reviewed very soon, in view of the evolution of the epidemic," the ministry told AFP. of Culture, which will take stock at the end of August.

The ministry publishes a "corrective"

In a first press release on Tuesday, the ministry said that these gatherings could be authorized, as of August 15, by the prefects while respecting "certain sanitary conditions", and that from the beginning of September, they could be held, as well as fairs, without gauge or prefectural authorization.
