Gifu Residential house burned down 2 people 82-year-old woman and grandson visiting during summer vacation 13:45 on August 7

Early in the morning on the 7th, the house was completely burnt down in Gifu city, and two bodies were found from the burned site. Police believe that an 82-year-old woman living in this house and a 19-year-old grandson who was visiting during the summer vacation are confirming her identity and investigating the cause of the fire.

At around 4:50 am on the 7th, when Kayoko Kojima (82) in Noritake-Higashi, Gifu City, had a house burning, a person living nearby reported to the fire department.

Eleven fire engines were extinguished and the fire was extinguished approximately one and a half hours later, but a two-story wooden house was completely destroyed.

According to a fire department, the bodies of two people were found on the first floor of the burnt site.

The police are unable to contact the grandson of a 19-year-old male college student who visited Kojima-san and Seki City, Gifu Prefecture during the summer vacation. We are investigating the cause of the fire.

The site is a residential area about 2 kilometers north of Gifu City Hall.
