A truck driver who refused to obey the gendarmes on the highway near Montauban was killed on Friday after a gendarme shot him and his truck caught fire, the prosecution told AFP.
“He refused to comply following a road check, he fled, crashed into a gendarmerie vehicle in which was a gendarme. A gendarme used his weapon, the driver was hit and the truck caught fire. The autopsy will determine the causes of his death, ”added the prosecution.
