Dong Jianhua also said that this year marks the 30th anniversary of the promulgation of the Basic Law of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region of the People's Republic of China. "I hope everyone will correctly understand the spirit of the Basic Law.'One country' is the prerequisite for'two systems', the constitution is the root of the Basic Law, administrative leadership is the cornerstone of Hong Kong's success, and gradual progress is the principle of political development."
