Aichi Prefecture's original declaration of emergency Call for action during the Bon holiday New Corona 12:04 on August 6

To prevent the further spread of the new coronavirus, Aichi Prefecture issued its own emergency declaration on the 6th. We are requesting citizens of the prefecture to refrain from unnecessary and urgent actions during the Obon holidays, and from moving across prefectures.

In response to the spread of the new coronavirus, Aichi Prefecture held a meeting of the countermeasures headquarters on the morning of the 6th, and Governor Omura said, "We are aware that this second wave is in a very severe situation. Before and after the Obon period We want to prevent the spread of the infection and contain it."

The period of declaration is from 6th to 24th of this month, and the area is the whole of Aichi prefecture.

The declaration of emergency calls on residents to refrain from unnecessary and urgent actions during the Obon holidays and to refrain from having dinner or banquets with a large number of 5 or 6 people.

In addition, we are refraining from unnecessary and urgent movements across prefectures, and we are requesting that we discuss once again with our family about homecoming during the Obon holidays.

Furthermore, we will continue to request some restaurants, etc. in the center of Nagoya city to shorten their business hours and to close their business, without expanding the region or target industries.

On the other hand, we do not request leave or school closures throughout the prefecture.

After the meeting, Governor Omura asked reporters to refrain from unnecessary and urgent movements across prefectures. “Because Aichi, Gifu, and Mie are in the same economic zone, individual movements across prefectures are also necessary. I would like you to make a decision. I ask that you refrain from moving across prefectures other than that during the declaration of an emergency, including homecoming."
