K-pop group BTS, rapper Doja Cat and J Balvin will perform during the MTV Video Music Awards at the end of this month.
MTV announced on Tuesday that the two acts have been added to the line-up. It is the first time that both BTS and Doja Cat (24) perform during the awards.
The popular K-pop band won two MTV Video Music Awards last year, for best group and best K-pop act. This year BTS has been nominated in three categories: best pop, best K-pop and best choreography.
The American singer Doja Cat is also nominated for three awards, including best song with the song Say So .
Colombian reggaeton artist J Balvin has been nominated in the categories best collaboration ( RITMO with Black Eyed Peas) and best Latin. He has been nominated three times in the latter category, with the songs China , Amarillo and Qué Pena .
Other artists to perform at the awards ceremony on Sunday, August 30 in New York may be announced soon. Until then, fans can vote for their favorite artists, clips and songs.
