Now Huang Baoquan has several stone locks in his family. The lightest is 44 kg and the heaviest is 108 kg. They are made of hard stones he found from all over Sichuan and then made with a chisel and hammer. Every afternoon, he would use a small trailer to drag the stone lock out of the community for exercise. For a distance of more than 230 meters, he would take more than 40 minutes to complete.

In addition to exercising the strength of the lower limbs, Huang Baoquan also achieves a balanced exercise by throwing a 44 kg stone lock and practicing with iron sand. Although he wanted to pass the "Stone Lock Technique" to more people, Huang Baoquan was very cautious about accepting disciples. He said that because of his personal strength and long-term physical work, he has a foundation in this practice, so not everyone is suitable for practicing "Stone Lock".

Two (stone shoes) add up to 216 jin, plus this 44 jin (stone lock) to shake, many (people) can't shake it, and they dare not pick it up, and the stone lock must be broken. If you can't do twenty or thirty push-ups in one breath, you must have insufficient waist strength. If the waist strength is not enough, you will naturally get hurt when you lift this stone waist.

His body has adapted to this mode of exercise and has a certain exercise effect. But as his age increases and his athletic ability declines, the intensity of this exercise should gradually decrease. In our medical terms, this case is a resistance training, and (it is) the entire resistance (training) of the lower limbs.
