Attention, nostalgia: Tony Danza and Alyssa Milano are currently in discussions to shoot a sequel to one of the most cult series of the 1980s. Madame est Servie could indeed return to the air, if Sony Pictures Television manages to develop a satisfactory driver.

According to Deadline, the program, which was a hit when it aired on ABC (and M6 in France), with 33 million viewers on average over its eight seasons, is one of the studio's most promising projects. Few details have been revealed, but it is already known that the plot will take place 30 years after the original series, with Samantha Micelli (Alyssa Milano) living alone with her children in the house previously occupied by Angela Bower (the character of Judith Light).

Everybody

Still according to Deadline , Madame est Servie will continue, in the post-Me Too era, to be interested in the dynamics of today's family, and to overturn stereotypes on the relations between men and women (the original series starred a former baseball champion who, to give his daughter a better life, became a handyman for a wealthy divorced businesswoman).

The entire cast of the first series should somehow return to the program, assured the creative team, except of course Katherine Helmond, who played Mona Robinson, who died last year. Alyssa Milano and Tony Danza will also be executive producers, alongside Norman Lear, the giant - and at 98 years old, the dean - of American television.
