The latest report from the Directorate General of Health, published Tuesday evening, reports 30,296 deaths in France linked to Covid-19. If the number of hospitalized patients decreases, that of resuscitations is on the rise for the second consecutive day.

Is the coronavirus epidemic returning to France? The figures are neither alarming ... nor completely reassuring. According to the latest report from the Directorate General of Health, published Tuesday evening, 30,296 people died from Covid-19. That is only two more than the day before, a low figure due to statistical corrections in social and medico-social establishments. But it is the resuscitation figures that challenge.

Jolts at very low levels

Indeed, they are on the rise for the second day in a row, which had not happened since the beginning of April. A slight increase (+4 in 24 hours), but which may give rise to fear of an epidemic resurgence. At the same time, the positivity rate of the tests performed has increased to 1.6%, with the number of new confirmed cases exceeding 1,000. These are therefore jolts observed at very low levels, but jolts nonetheless.

The hospitalization figures are more encouraging. There are always fewer patients in the hospital. In addition, early indicators, in particular the activity of SOS Médecins and the emergency services for suspected Covid-19 compared to their total activity, remains marginal: respectively 3 and 0.6%.
