"We are serious about garbage sorting, and they are mixed together when they are shipped." Recently, some citizens reported to this newspaper that the garbage sorting work in their communities is not satisfactory. Many people try to save trouble and find it troublesome. The garbage sorting is not in place. And, the sorted garbage may be mixed and transported. In the hot summer, garbage sorting faces greater challenges. In order to reduce the retention time of garbage, how to choose the time of placing and clearing? How to reasonably allocate classified instructors to reduce the work intensity? How to implement the sorting and shipment of clearing vehicles... Only when the details are in place can the garbage sorting achieve the desired effect.

  Jintaili Fujiayuan

Throw out rubbish at will when no one looks at the bin

Ms. Liu, who lives in Jintaili Fujiayuan, Dongba Middle Road, Chaoyang District, said that since the start of garbage classification, the community has set up garbage disposal points and equipped with garbage classification instructors. Although the "hardware" equipment is quite complete, in the daily sorting work, the results are not satisfactory. Residents throw garbage at will. Every morning, the sorters hurriedly remove the food waste in the trash can. Picking out the garbage, "I feel a little dealt with."

At less than 6 o'clock in the morning on July 28, when the reporter visited Jintai Li Fujiayuan, it was already busy near the north gate of the west district. More than a dozen other black trash cans are gathered together, and a number of garbage sorting instructors wearing blue vests, wearing long rubber gloves, or using clips or bare hands, pick up the plastic bags containing kitchen waste in the trash cans. Come out and throw it into the green food waste bin next to it. During operation, the food waste was not put in broken bags.

Because there are too many trash cans, the sorting instructors are afraid of delaying the garbage removal. They just use a clip to pull the garbage on the upper level of the bucket and take a rough look. The garbage at the bottom is difficult to find. Ms. Liu said that even if each bucket only takes three to five minutes, it would take a lot of time to check all of them. In such a hurry, it is impossible for the classification instructors to perform thorough screening. According to her observation, this is also one of the crux of the inadequate garbage classification in the community.

At about 6:20, the black trucks carrying "other garbage" arrived at the community, and other garbage that had not been completely sorted was loaded and transported away. The weather was sultry, and reporters waited and watched not far away. From time to time, they could smell the unpleasant odor that wafted through the garbage. After the intense removal work was over, some rubbish was scattered on the ground. Cleaners clean up in time and wash the ground with water to reduce the impact on residents who get up early to work or exercise in the morning.

It is understood that Jintaili Fujiayuan is divided into two areas, east and west, and there are 6 high-rise buildings with more than 2,000 residents. There was a trash can in front of each unit. After the implementation of garbage classification on May 1, a number of bin stations were set up. The smaller one can only hold three or four trash cans, and the larger one can hold 9 trash cans.

According to residents, the general clearing truck first arrives at the two pick-up points in the Western District for shipment, and then enters the Eastern District. "In the summer, the cleaning truck came early, and several cleaning staff were like rushing to the field. After this cleaning point was finished, the cleaning truck started loading. They hurried to the next cleaning point to help pick up the kitchen waste."

"It's so hard and laborious to sort, isn't it good to carry out sorting guidance when putting it out?" A resident said that since the implementation of waste sorting in May, he has rarely encountered sorting instructors at garbage stations. The remaining garbage was put in a plastic bag and thrown into the trash can. Even though he met the instructors in the morning shift, they were busy rummaging through the kitchen waste, and they didn't care about guiding the residents to put it out.

There are also some residents who feel sorry for these classification instructors. The trash can is covered, and after a day and night of high temperature fermentation, the smell is really disgusting. The sorting instructors have to be like scavengers every morning, tossing the kitchen waste in the trash can, and the soup is really unhygienic.

For residents' complaints, the community property is also a bitter. "With a few cleaners and building administrators, I can't manage so many trash bins." The staff told reporters that the building administrator would look at the barrels for an hour every morning, and the rest of the time could only be classified by the residents. Because the classification is not up to standard, it is very difficult to rely on the cleaning staff and the building manager to sort again every morning. They have to rush to pick out the kitchen waste mixed in other garbage before the truck of the Erqing Group arrives. "It's hot, and the truck comes early. They are fighting every day, and they rush to sort them out. "As for the food waste, they used a battery car to send it to a food waste collection point near Dongba. "There is a requirement for how much food waste is collected in each community. If the standard is not met, a fine will be imposed, so the pressure on the property is very high."

  Zhouzhuangzi Home

Three kinds of garbage are transported in one truck

Ms. Li, who lives in Zhouzhuangzijiayuan Community, Fengtai District, reported that when the community cleared and transported garbage, it actually mixed and transported classified recyclable garbage, kitchen waste and other garbage, and a truck transported these three types of garbage at the same time. , "It wasted everyone's energy and enthusiasm for garbage sorting."

On the morning of July 25, the reporter came to Zhouzhuangzijiayuan community. At around 6:30 a.m., a blue garbage pickup truck with a "other garbage" sign drove into the community. As reflected by the residents, each time the garbage truck arrives at a garbage dumping point, the truck workers dump three different colored garbage bins containing recyclables, kitchen waste, and other garbage into the bucket in turn. Nearly 7 o'clock, the garbage truck was loaded and the truck drove out of the community.

In fact, as early as the end of February this year, the community property distributed garbage bins and the "Guidelines for Separation of Garbage for Capital Citizens" leaflets to every household, requiring residents to sort garbage in accordance with the regulations. The garbage sorting bins of Zhouzhuangzi Homestead were put into use in May, and they were set up in front of each unit. In the garbage sorting station, there are not only four types of garbage bins neatly arranged, but also posters for garbage sorting. These bin stations are also made with great care and have uniform specifications. The red hollow frame and transparent glass canopy are both ventilated and rain-proof. Beautiful and generous.

However, with such a good foundation laid, the results of the classification work are not satisfactory. Residents said that they often see the same garbage truck entering and leaving Zhouzhuangzi homes and nearby communities, which shows that the garbage in more than one of their communities is mixed and transported. The reporter walked around the community. There are 6 buildings in the community with 16 unit doors. A sorting trash bin station is set up in front of each unit, and the lid of the trash bin is wide open, giving off a peculiar smell from time to time.

Some residents said that the garbage sorting instructors who were assigned to the community at the beginning will stick to their posts regardless of wind or rain and guide residents to sort out the garbage. Some residents were very touched by the hard work of these volunteers, and they even brought mineral water and drinks. However, now some garbage sorting instructors are also slacking off.

The reporter noticed at the scene that there were indeed garbage sorting instructors wearing green armbands near some trash can stations, but they were sitting in the shade of the community, some were playing with mobile phones, and some were chatting, whenever residents came to throw them away. Garbage, the sorter just looked up from a distance and did not come forward to give instructions.

According to a staff member of the residential property company, Zhouzhuangzijiayuan currently carries out garbage removal twice a day, at around 7 am and 3 pm respectively. It is a professional cleaning and transportation company that the property finds that is in charge of the waste removal in the community. Because the supporting food waste transfer station has not been built yet, it is temporarily mixed and transported together before sorting.

These practices of summer garbage classification can be used for reference

In response to the problems in the territorial community, the Dongba District Office of Chaoyang District responded that the residential density of the community is high, and the publicity and guidance of garbage classification is not adequate. Moreover, the garbage sorting instructors are tight, which puts a lot of pressure on the back-end cleaning, transportation and cleaning. They will start from the source, adjust the settings of the barrel station, and strengthen the classification of residents, thereby improving the quality of classification.

Regarding the problem of Zhouzhuangzi’s homeland, the relevant street township said that Zhouzhuangzi Village had done a lot of preparatory work for garbage classification in the early stage, distributed garbage bins, made a unified garbage station, and equipped with classification instructors. However, there were omissions in some links in the later period, and the staff will immediately carry out rectification after on-site investigation.

Recently, Beijing has issued high-temperature warnings, and garbage classification under high temperature is also facing greater difficulties. During the interview, the reporter sorted out the three issues that the citizens talked about the most: How to choose the time of placing and cleaning to reduce the retention of garbage? How to reasonably allocate classified instructors to reduce the work intensity? How to implement classified shipment for clearing vehicles?

It is understood that some neighborhood communities in this city have good practices in dealing with garbage classification under high temperature weather, which may provide reference for other communities. For example, in Jingshan Street, Dongcheng District, they appointed special personnel to inspect the classified barrel stations, equipped with 84 disinfectant and pesticides, and sterilized the barrel stations twice a day. The streets are divided into operating areas, and the food waste removal staff will inspect regularly to transport the food waste in the bucket station to the transfer point in time. When community staff find half of the garbage in the kitchen waste bin when entering the house or patrolling the streets and lanes, they will promptly notify the point in the work group, and the collection and transportation staff will rush to the scene within 20 minutes to remove the kitchen waste. Other neighborhoods in Dongcheng District are spraying and hanging various deodorants and pesticides near the barrel station.

Some neighborhoods and communities in Haidian District have added 24-hour trash stations on duty, and at the same time guide residents to put them at fixed points at a fixed time, and remove the trash bins at other times to reduce pollution.

During the interview, all neighborhood communities called for the collection and transportation of food waste and terminal treatment sites to be as flexibly docked as possible, synchronized with the collection and transportation of food waste in the community, and set a "summer time" different from "winter time" "This can effectively reduce the retention time of kitchen waste.
