A total of 30,296 people died in France from the coronavirus epidemic, including 19,790 in hospitals and 10,506 in social and medico-social establishments, according to the Directorate General of Health. This last figure has been revised downwards since July 28, the date of the last Ehpads assessment due to several errors.

388 patients are hospitalized in intensive care, up (very slightly) for the second time in a row. This is four more than Monday, August 3, a Monday which had already experienced a positive balance in intensive care with thirteen additional people in 72 hours, the latest assessment going back to last Friday.
