They will not be entitled to the premium allocated to caregivers. Dozens of nursing students and medical students, who lent a hand during the crisis, will not be able to touch the reward promised to caregivers after the coronavirus epidemic. In question ? Too selective criteria, to which they are not eligible.

According to the decree published in the Official Journal on June 13, recalls BFMTV, personnel engaged in the fight against the epidemic can receive an exceptional bonus between 1,000 and 1,500 euros. However, payment of this bonus is subject to conditions: the personnel concerned must have worked at least five half-days per week between March 1 and April 30, with less than 15 calendar days of absence during this period. Students who are below this 30-day threshold are therefore deprived of this bonus.

An "unfair" measure

This is the case for around 70 students from the Saint-Etienne (Loire) medical school, who will have to reimburse the Covid premium granted in error at the end of June by the local CHU. “More than 150 students from the health reserve, 600 including interns, will receive this bonus,” however, the CHU specified.

Ditto in Angers (Maine-et-Loire), where around thirty nursing students did help, but between March 30 and April 27, well after the dates set by the decree. “These students find themselves with nothing, even though they were all mobilized in the Covid sector at the CHU. It's simply unfair, ”began Emmanuel Dubourg-Davy, General Secretary of the Force Ouvrière, with our colleagues in Ouest-France .
