At around 17:30 on August 3, 2020, a flash explosion occurred in the butanone oxime workshop of Lanhua Silicone Co., Ltd. in Xiliuhe Town, Xiantao City. The accident caused 5 people to be injured and 4 people lost contact. As of 19:00, the fire had been extinguished, the injured had been sent to the hospital for treatment, and the missing persons were in search and rescue.
After the accident, the leaders of the Hubei Provincial Emergency Management Department, the main leaders of the Xiantao Municipal Party Committee and the municipal government, and the leaders in charge quickly rushed to the scene to organize public security, fire protection, emergency response, environmental protection, health and other departments to carry out disposal.
