  Shen Li was born in Jinan, Shandong in 1933. In 1957, Shen Li was recruited into the Central People's Broadcasting Station, and then sent to Beijing Television Station (the predecessor of China Central Television) as an announcer. Since then, she began her TV career for more than 50 years.

  In 1958, Beijing Television Station, the predecessor of China Central Television, began its formal operation. Shen Li was the only announcer at the time. On New Year's Day in 1983, the column "Serving You" was officially launched. The 50-year-old Shen Li became the first host in the history of Chinese TV.

  Therefore, Shen Li is also known as "the first person on the Chinese screen."

  On the same day, Ni Ping went to Babaoshan to mourn. She told reporters that Shen Li is actually the one who has the most "capital" publicity, "because she is the first show host in the history of Chinese TV", "but teacher Shen Li never does this."
