An aerial view from a drone shows Kivalina, a village at the very end of a barrier reef between a lagoon and the Chukchi Sea, Alaska.

Kivalina and a few other native Alaskan coastal villages are facing a warming Arctic, which has resulted in melting ice protecting the island's coasts from storms and coastal erosion. As a result of this rise in temperatures, winters are shorter and fishing less abundant.

This Brut video takes stock of life in Kivalina as global warming threatens the daily lives of its inhabitants.
