At 14:00 on July 31, affected by the intense convergence of cold and warm air, short-term heavy precipitation occurred in Niugutu Town, Aohan Banner, Chifeng City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, with precipitation reaching 19.6 mm per hour. Due to the early summer drought, the land's water storage capacity was weakened, vegetation growth was poor, and short-term heavy rainfall caused mountain torrents in downstream towns.

  According to preliminary statistics from the local emergency response bureau, the heavy rainfall caused disasters in many villages in Niugutu Town and Beizifu Town. The output of field crops was reduced in large areas, and some arable land had no harvest. The Aohan Banner Meteorological Bureau issued a yellow hail warning signal at 13:27, and continued to issue a yellow thunder warning signal at 14:45 to remind local citizens to do a good job of protection and pay attention to weather changes in time.
